San Marcos Ground Mount

Aerial view of RCSI utility-scale solar farm and renewable energy structures.

The San Marcos ground mount system for the Vallecitos Water district spans across two sites with nearly six thousand panels installed totaling 2.129 MW worth of renewable solar energy for the district. This is a ballasted system that sits on top of two 30,000-gallon water tanks buried in the ground. Extreme caution and consideration for the tanks was used when operating machinery and installing equipment for this project, completed in just two months.
