This structure is the first and largest of its kind to be permitted and installed in the City of Los Angeles. A long span that lands uniformly on the columns of the existing structures bay spacings, and clear spanning over the drive isles for ease of access. The structure sits on top of an 8 story parking garage in Los Angeles right off of Sunset Blvd. The structure is now a focal point for the church, as we left out a number of panels to form a cross in the middle, and all 4 sections of the canopy to help represent the Church’s love and devotion to their beliefs.
UC Irvine Parking Garage Solar Canopy: Engineering Speed Meets Structural Complexity
The Challenge UC Irvine was interested in installing a solar canopy on its 7-story parking garage. To do this, they required more than simply a contractor. They had to find a partner that could assess an aging facility and work safely on a busy campus.
